Select departures to operate from DXB and DWC; travellers told not to head to the airport without airline confirmation
Dubai’s aviation sector will begin a phased restart on Sunday evening, 2 March, with Dubai Airports confirming limited operations at Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC), alongside a partial resumption by Emirates.
In a statement posted on X, Dubai Airports said, “A limited resumption of operations will begin this evening, 2 March, with a small number of flights permitted to operate from DXB and DWC.” It added that travellers are “advised not to proceed” to the airports unless directly contacted by their airline with a confirmed departure time.
Emirates also confirmed it will begin operating “a limited number of flights commencing on the evening of 2 March,” prioritising customers with earlier bookings who have been rebooked onto the available services.
“Please do not go to the airport unless you have been notified,” the airline said, adding that “all other flights remain suspended until further notice.”
Both Dubai Airports and Emirates said further updates will be issued as the situation evolves, reiterating that passenger and crew safety remains the highest priority.
